BIO <3

Angel Chantel is a progressive Roots Bassist and Vocalist, with a heavy background in bluegrass music. Being born in the rich mountain music culture of East Tennessee, her style is rooted in Appalachian tradition, but includes influences from an array of genres from Celtic to rock n roll to Folk and Americana. Around the age of 15, she began performing with local bands and jamming in the halls of IBMA, and other major festivals. Her professional career started shortly after attending the Bluegrass Program at ETSU, where she studied bass in all roots genres. And since then has traveled the whole country playing shows and appearing on stages and at festivals with the likes of Larry Gillis and SwampGrass, Aaron 'Frosty' Foster, Alex Leach, ETSU Celtic Pride Band, ETSU Old Time Pride Band, Circus #9, Tyler Williams, Kristi Stanley, Mike Fagan, Vince Herman, Wilson Banjo Co., and more. She's no stranger to the studio and will be releasing a self titled, self engineered EP this summer.
